Estacaille Genealogy One Name Study
genealogy of the Estacaille (and variant spellings) families around the world
I think it’s been about two years since I last uploaded a GEDCOM of my latest offline research, so last night I bit the bullet and updated the database. It never goes 100% smoothly, there’s always records that need to be cleaned up afterwards.
There are now 7,146 people and 3,233 families in the database. Not all the individuals will have data to show as I continue to filter those that are potentially still living. If you find any errors, let me know. This update includes most of the latest research I’ve done into possible Hosmer DNA connections to Pennsylvania cousins in branches of Vanderpoel, Wheeler, and Johnson to start – my attempt to discover who my paternal great-grandfather was.
Lots of images for census, death, birth, marriages etc are still to be uploaded – unfortunately my Legacy software doesn’t include images in the GEDCOM, and I don’t link them in the software anyway. Legacy is good software, but I’m not a fan of how it handles media, especially with the technology advances since version 9 was released. The TNG database at least lets me easily link multiple people to one event document, easy to index 🙂
So keep an eye on the What’s New page for the latest additions to the various media galleries.
